Brian joined PowerTeam Services in October 2018 as Chief Executive Officer after a 30-year career at General Electric, where he held a progressive series of assignments in engineering and executive leadership within the GE Energy organization. In his last role, Brian spent 10 years as the President and CEO of the Measurement & Controls division, growing the business to a $4.5B global leader of critical asset performance, control and protection solutions for energy and industrial infrastructure. Brian earned his Mechanical Engineering degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Billy has been with PowerTeam Services since its inception and serves as the President of our Southern Gas Division including Southeast Connections LLC and HydroExcavators LLC, both located in Conyers, Georgia. Billy founded Southeast Connections in 1995 and has led that company to its current position as one of the leading gas utility service companies in the industry. Over the past year, he started Hydro-X, providing hydro and air-knife excavation services for a variety of industrial and commercial applications. Today, SEC and Hydro-X service customers across the southeastern U.S.
Kyle joined PowerTeam Services LLC in 2016 as the Chief Operating Officer for Southeast Connections. He moved to his current position overseeing the SEC business platform in May,2019. Prior to SEC, Kyle spent 16 years with Southern Gas Company. In his last position as Managing Director – Construction Operations, Kyle was responsible for the construction of both distribution and transmission pipelines for all of the SCG’s local distribution companies in seven states. Kyle earned his Industrial Engineering degree from Auburn University.
Dennis has been with PowerTeam Services since its inception and started in the gas utility industry at his family’s business, Arby Construction, where he eventually became President. Arby was later acquired by Quanta Services, where Dennis became V.P. of Gas Operations. In 2005 he left his position to help co-found KS Energy Services, which is a leading service provider in Wisconsin and the upper Midwest, located in New Berlin, Wisconsin. Dennis earned his B.A. from Marquette University, and his J.D. from Hamline University.
Michael joined PowerTeam Services LLC and KS Energy in October 2019 and oversees all operating elements of KS Energy LLC, based in New Berlin, Wisconsin. Previously, Michael was the North America General Manager for Field Core, which provides field services for power generation and industrial applications. Prior to Field Core, Michael had a 24-year career at General Electric serving in progressively larger management roles in their Power Generation sector. Mike earned his Engineering degree from the SUNY Maritime College.
Jim joined PowerTeam Services in his current role located in Atlanta, Georgia in February 2019. His career spans 39 years in the energy industry, including 20 years with Atlantic Richfield where he held a variety of positions including his last as Global Asset Manager for Atlantic’s Energy division. Jim spent the last 19 years with General Electric’s Energy Services organization, where his most recent position was Vice-President Americas for GE Power Generation. Jim earned his Business degree from the University of Phoenix.
Kaivan serves as PowerTeam’s Chief Financial Officer and joined in December 2018. He brings over 20 years’ financial leadership experience, mostly from GE’s Energy and Oil & Gas divisions in both manufacturing and services. Most recently, he was CFO of NCR’s Hardware Division supporting the banking and commerce industries. In his last roles at GE, he served as CFO of the N.A. Power Services division, and CFO of GE’s $6B Oil & Gas Turbomachinery business. He is a graduate of GE’s Financial Leadership Program and a veteran of GE Corporate Audit Staff. Kaivan earned his B.S. from Indiana University.
Jim joined PowerTeam Services in September 2019 and brings over 20 years’ experience from the GE Power division in supply chain, manufacturing and services. In his most recent role, Jim was Business Leader for GE Power Services where he managed multiple key accounts including Southern Company, Dominion and Duke. Prior to that assignment, he led global sourcing for GE Power and helped facilitate the integration of the Alstom acquisition. Jim earned his B.S. Chemical Engineering from West Virginia University.
Joe joined PowerTeam Services in 2016. Previously he was Director of Safety for Quanta Services’ Power Division and has held safety leadership positions at MYR Group and Henkels & McCoy. Joe received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the Pennsylvania State University and holds the Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals.
Dave joined PowerTeam Services in January 2019 and brings over 35 years of experiences across a variety of industries. Most recently he served as SVP Human Resources for CHC Helicopter, a global transportation business. Prior to that role, Dave held numerous H.R. positions during a 30-year career with General Electric predominantly in the Aviation, Energy and Financial Services sectors. He is a graduate of GE’s Human Resource Leadership Program and earned his M.S. at Xavier University.
Tom joined PowerTeam Services in his current role in 2014. For over 20 years he has advised and led the legal and regulatory functions of both public and private companies including Top Echelon Contracting, Inc., Gibbs International Inc., and Advance America. Tom earned his B.A. from Duke University and his J.D. from the University of Akron School of Law.
Martin joined PowerTeam Services in 2017 and brings more than 20 years’ IT leadership experience across multiple industries. Previously, Martin served as CIO at Voith North America, where he led a global team responsible for ERP, CRM, cloud infrastructure, customer applications and R&D for enterprise mobility technology. He earned his EE from BK for Technology School and is an alumnus of Voith’s Executive Leadership Academy.
Scott was appointed to his current role as VP, Commercial Operations and Corporate Strategy for PowerTeam Services in April 2020. Previously, Scott was the Commercial Leader for Volt Power, an operating business in the PowerTeam portfolio. Prior to joining Volt, Scott spent 12 years at General Electric in various roles including engineering, commercial operations and sales. Scott received an MBA in Finance from Georgia State University and his bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University.
In 1985 Douglas Banning joined Miller Pipeline as a cost accountant. In 1989 he was promoted to controller. Mentored by the company’s founders, Banning gained knowledge of the inner workings of the organization and oversaw several acquisitions. In 1998 he became the company’s executive vice president and chief financial officer, and in 2003 he assumed his current role as CEO.
Banning graduated from the University of North Alabama with a bachelor's degree in Accounting and Management Information Systems in 1985.
He is actively involved in the industry as well as the community. He serves as a board member for the State Bank of Lizton and the Indiana Chamber of Commerce. He is involved in the Distribution Contractors Association as a trustee for the Labor-Management Cooperation Trust and serves a management trustee for Indiana Laborers Health and Welfare Fund.
Beginning his career at Miller Pipeline in 1973, Kevin Miller has worked in nearly every capacity with the company. He started in the field as a general laborer and over the next ten years advanced to operator and eventually a foreman. From 1987 through 1998, Miller became more involved in the management of the company, serving as a superintendent, general superintendent and senior vice president. In 2004 he was appointed to his current position, where he is responsible for operations company-wide.
Miller plays an active role in the industry and has served various positions on the Board of Directors for the Distribution Contractors Association (DCA) including president in 2010. For many years he served on their safety committee, working to continuously improve safety awareness and procedures in the industry. He is a member of the HDPE Municipal Advisory Board for the Plastic Pipe Institute (PPI), serving as co-chair of the training committee. In 2012, he finished a four-year term serving on the board of directors for the Flanner House of Indianapolis, a not-for-profit organization, most recently serving as board president.
In 1977, Ted joined Leonard Pipeline in Calgary as an accountant and worked his way up to vice president of the company, a role he kept until leaving in 1994. He next moved to the U.S. Pipeline Division of Northern Pipeline as a vice president before joining the Minnesota Limited team as a project manager in 1999. During his time with Minnesota Limited, he was promoted to director of operations, then vice president of operations, before being named president of the company in April of 2016.
Ted is active in the Pipe Line Contractors Association, the Distribution Contractors Association, the INGAA Foundation and the Southern Gas Association.
